The Waterbug 800 8-Zone Water Sensor Alert Kit can monitor up to eight supervised or 16 non-supervised zones; four supervised sensors are included, additional WaterBug Surface Sensors are available separately. The sensors detector work by forming a conductive bridge between two electrical contacts when it senses the presence of non-flammable conductive liquids. When water or moisture has been detected the main unit will alarm or trigger a relay on virtually any alert/security system such as EnviroAlert or automation system such as INSTEON that accepts a dry contact closure. Pipe Watchman Freeze Protection Safety Valve

Pipe WatchmanTM is a new and innovative product with a very simple concept. The Pipe WatchmanTM is screwed onto an outside water faucet and the water is turned on. Pipe WatchmanTM will serve as the valve on the faucet and will let no water through until a lower temperature activates it.

Contained within the device is a small sensor that recognizes a preset low temperature and preset higher temperature from the water that exists within the pipe that is connected to the Pipe WatchmanTM. When the lower temperature is sensed, the sensor opens a micro-valve and when the higher temperature is sensed it closes the micro-valve. The Pipe WatchmanTM unit #PW-35 should be installed where the ambient temperature is the lowest and no effort should be made to insulate it. The higher temperature is sensed from the warmer water flowing through the pipe that comes from under the ground.
